Kickstarter Campaign to Fund a Death Star

Mar 06, 2013 No Comments by

In the current climate of financial instability and political uprising around the world, it’s easy to forget that sometimes, threats to our way of life can exist outside of our known borders. While climate change and the alleged damage man is doing to his own home continues to reap damage, we need a solution to having to stay living on this planet as well. A new hope is needed.

One such answer to all our problems was propositioned in November 2012, when an e-petition was put to the US government motioning to build a Death Star.

Not only could it protect us from threats from far far away, but will help us to develop space stations that humans could one day live on permanently. Win win, you may think. The White House disagreed, primarily citing the total $850,000,000,000,000,000 (that’s $850 QUINTILLION) needed to construct the monstrous base.

Therefore, in the age of the crowd funding campaign, you can now contribute to making this nightmare dream a reality. More detailed plans for an open source Death Star are needed, to ensure enough chicken wire eliminates the original design flaws that led to its double destruction in the Star Wars movies. $20,000,000 will get us through these inital stages, the power of the Force withstanding.

Check out the Kickstarter page, but be sure to read all the T&Cs before contributing to what could be humanity’s greatest achievement yet.
