Channing Tatum sure has come along way since Step Up, with roles in G.I Joe, Public Enemies, Dear John, The Vow, Haywire and 21 Jump Street he’s become a bankable leading man in a few short years.
Recently it was revealed that G.I Joe 2 was pulled from release not just to undergo 3D conversion, but to add more Tatum as they foolishly killed his character off early on. For his latest movie he stars (and produces) in Steven Soderbergh’s Magic Mike, playing the title character Tatum shakes his money maker as a male stripper in the comic drama.
Already a box office hit in the US, Magic Mike opens this week in the UK and Channing Tatum will be at the Apple Retail Store on Regent Street at 7.30pm to talk about the movie. Joining him at the event is his co-star Matthew McConaughey who plays night club owner Dallas in the movie.
Director Steven Soderbergh clearly likes working with the actor, as Tatum features in the filmmaker’s next project The Bitter Pill which has already been shot. The event is expected to be busy so get there early, but not too early.
