Trailer Trash: The Man with the Iron Fists (2012)

Co-founder of the Wu-Tang Clan RZA makes his feature film directorial debut, The Man with the Iron Fists is produced and co-written by Eli Roth, features Russell Crowe and Lucy Lui, and is released under the “Quentin Tarantino Presents” banner.

Set in 19th Century China, a skilled blacksmith is forced to unite with warriors, assassins and criminals to protect their village from a ruthless enemy.

The Red Band trailer has now been released, and surely this has to be a contender for craziest looking action film of the year. RZA made the movie for a very respectable $20 million, and it’s rumoured that the first cut of the movie was four hours long.

RZA was apparently keen to split the epic running time into two films, but Eli Roth believed a single cut down movie would work better. There’s still no official UK release, so in the meantime this rocking trailer will have to do.
