Share Your Shame: The Shame Begins

Jun 18, 2012 No Comments by

Even the most educated film fan has a few movies lurking in their collection that they bought against their better judgment. They hide these at the back of their collections and would never publicly admit they like them.

I have quite a few titles in my collection that I am ashamed to admit I like, when any of these films are spotted a series of lies and intricate set of explanations are given. Some of these include;

1)   I didn’t buy that, I borrowed it from a friend

2)   Oh that oh that’s my sister’s,

3)   I bought it as a birthday present but they already had it and I lost the receipt.

4)   That Sex and the City complete box set was reduced so much it would have been a crime not to buy it.

5)   It was a gift

These lies have haunted me long enough, but now the truth must be unearthed, the hidden movies will be brought to light and the shame must be shared. What some will hide at the back of the DVD cupboard, others will display proudly at the front. After all, somebody has to be buying Steven Seagal’s latest movies because he keeps on making them.

From over the top action films, to low rent creature features by way of chick flicks so awful even Heat Magazine would struggle to say something nice about them. Join We Love Movies More Than You and our team of new writers as we explore what horrors are hiding on a DVD shelf near you.
