Red 2 Adds Zeta-Jones to the Cast

2010′s Red was a surprise hit when it was released, perhaps more surprising than it’s near $200M worldwide takings was the fact of just how much fun it was.

Most of the original cast are returning for the sequel so Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, Mary Louise Parker and the brilliantly mad John Malkovich are all back for another adventure.

Catherine Zeta Jones has now joined the cast in a as yet unconfirmed role. This marks the second time Zeta Jones has appeared with Bruce Willis, after his terrible cameo as himself in Ocean’s Twelve.

Dean Parisot is directing the sequel and the original writers Erich and Jon Hoeber have penned another madcap mission for everybody’s favourite retired government killers.

Summit has already given the movie a release date of August 2013, so expect filming to start sooner rather than later.
