Trailer Trash: Lawless (2012)

The trailer for the new movie from director John Hillcoat (The Road) has just been released.  Based on a true story about three bootlegging brothers, who run into a spot of bother with a ruthless gangster (Gary Oldman) and soon become hunted by a relentless government agent (Guy Pearce).

Having previously worked with the director on The Proposition, Nick Cave has adapted the screenplay from Matt Bondurant’s book. The brothers are played by Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf and Jason Clarke, and based on the trailer this could be Hillcoat’s most commercially friend project to date.

The cast includes Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska, and Noah Taylor, it’s out in the US in August but no UK release date has been confirmed yet.
