First Full Length Prometheus Trailer Lands

After the spine chilling teaser trailer caused this geek a meltdown earlier this year, I have been nervously waiting for the first full trailer. My prayers were answered as yestered the full length trailer for Prometheus finally arrived.

Director Ridley Scott’s return to sci-fi has been a curious beast, what started as a two part Alien prequel became Prometheus. Whilst very much set in the established world created in his 1979 classic, Prometheus was a more original story than a simple origin tale.

Scott has teased at ‘some alien DNA’ in the movie, and the recent TED viral video confirmed another Alien link, Peter Weyland (Guy Pearce).

The new trailer gives us much more of the story and some dialogue exchanges between the main cast, also a few more strands of Alien DNA are on offer and a long look at the infamous Space Jockey.

Personally speaking, Prometheus has all the makings of a superb return to form for the director and is a serious contender for one of the biggest films of the year. Although with The Avengers, Dark Knight Rises and The Hobbit to face off against, fourth place is nothing to be sniffed at.
