New Avengers Trailer

After the teaser at the end of Captain America, we have all been on tender hooks awaiting the first full Avengers trailer. The wait is finally over and it’s here in all it’s glory.

Trailers can often be misleading they are after all designed to make us go see the film. Based on this first trailer, all the cast appear to have been given equal screen time and the story doesn’t seem focused on just one character.Some had feared this would essentially be Iron Man and friends, the trailer suggests this is a true ensemble movie. It was always going to be a difficult balancing act, but we have faith in Joss.

New characters Bruce Banner and Hawkeye are only glimpsed and will need to work hard to establish believable characters in a talented and crowded bunch. Hulk has had two failed attempts as a standalone film and Hawkeye’s cameo in Thor was pointless.There’s still a long way until May, but so far it looks like it’s going to be worth the wait. Naturally I will be seeing the 2D version first.
